RESPONSIBILITIES:  Word and sacrament ministry (weekly preaching and administration of the sacraments), counseling, teaching, hospital visitation, general parish visitation, parish administration. Responsibilities within the Ohio Synod, Lutheran Church in America: Chairperson of the Inclusive Ministry Task Force, Educational Ministry Resource Team Consultant, a member of the Service (Social Ministry) Committee and served two terms on the Profession Leadership Unit.

Co‑Pastor, Lutheran Churches of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands ‑1973‑1975. Co‑Pastor in the three Lutheran parishes on the island with responsibilities in religious education, social ministry and youth ministry. In this capacity I preached once per month in each parish, coordinated the three Sunday schools, developed teacher training workshops, coordinated a summer camping experience for the youth of the parishes. Coordinated "Teen Rap," a thirteen‑week television series. Preached monthly on the morning radio devotions sponsored by the St. Croix Ministerial Association.

French Teacher, New York City Public Schools, 1969‑1971, I substituted during holiday/semester breaks during my first two years in seminary.
