Who am I and why am I serving at Gettysburg Seminary? I am...

PASTOR – called to serve in the ministry of Word and Sacrament to equip people to live out their baptismal calling in the world ... so I preach and preside at worship at Gettysburg Seminary and elsewhere on occasion.

TEACHER – SCHOLAR – LEARNER  – called to educate leaders by providing opportunities for others to engage in studying theological disciplines, analyzing contemporary contexts, and applying one to the other ... so I teach seminarians regularly and rostered leaders and lay folk when invited. I serve as the Associate Professor of Biblical Studies and Stewardship in the Arthur L. Larson position of Stewardship and Parish Ministry.

ADMINISTRATOR – called to organize and manage colleagues in ministry to achieve the goals of a common vision ... so I serve as Chief Financial Officer, and Registrar for Gettysburg Seminary and serve on the Board of Directors, Audit committee, and Executive committee for Augsburg Fortress Publishers.

BAPTIZED CHILD OF GOD - called to be a disciple of Jesus Christ ... so I worship regularly, sing in the congregation's choir, and serve God's people.
